Default Didnt reject right on no dir change?

Client: FlashFXP 2.0.905 (bought version)
Server: GuildFTPD 0.999.5

I dont know if this is a bug in FlashFXP or GuildFTP. I queued some folders, the siteop moved DIR2 that was after DIR1 in queue. So when FlashFXP was done with DIR1 the server gave this reply:

CWD /-=Upload=-/DIR1/
250-upload album
550 Access denied.
PWD
257 "/-=Upload=-/DIR2/

But FlashFXP made the DIR2 locally and started download files from DIR1 meaning same files where downloaded again but in DIR2 this time.

The problem is with the ftp server.

250-upload album
550 Access denied.

That is not a valid reply and I suspect it confused FlashFXP. Both numbers should be identical.

What the devil are you talking about?? invalid reply??
that 250 code is used by GFTPd as change dir message, thats what youre seeing there

This log snippet that was posted here isnt correct (cut off some wrong lines).
  • Transferred: usersearch.mrc 8 KB in 0,19 (8,44 KBps)
    CWD /-=[ Drive D ]=-/test/
250- THIS LINE ENTRY CAN CONTAIN ANYTHING
    [550 Access denied.
    [PWD
    257 "/-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops" is current directory.
    TYPE A
    200 Type set to A.

However there is another issue, FTP or FTPd, I dont know yet.

As I removed the /test folder before I started to download:
  • Cutting out the none needed stuff
  • 200 PORT command successful.
    LIST -al
    CWD /-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops/Download test folder/
250- It can be set to show whatever when you change folder
250 "/-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops/Download test folder" is current directory.
    PWD
257 "/-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops/Download test folder" is current directory.
    200 PORT command successful.
    LIST -al
    CWD /-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops/Download test folder/test/
    250- Again
    250 "/-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops/Download test folder/test" is current directory.
    PWD
    257 "/-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops/Download test folder/test" is current directory.
    CWD /-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops/Download test folder/test/Download test folder/
    250- Again
    250 "/-=[ Drive D ]=-/kops/Download test folder/test/Download test folder" is current directory.
    QUIT
It goes on forever....

As you can see FFXP or GFTPd keeps making folders on your local drive over and over again, However FFXP is set to:
1: Stop and restore broken transfers = 1
2: Enter directory after create = OFF

The problem I was referring to is that there are 2 different code results

250-upload album
550 Access denied.

It's obviously causing a problem as the results you encounter aren't normal.

As for the second log..
If I can understand your log and provided you didn't remove any text, It looks like GFTPd is not compatible with FlashFXP, it's causing FlashFXP to get confused and do things it was not designed to do.

It would help if you right click the status window and enable timestamp.

The issue is the FTPd, not FFXP...
Just tried exactly the same with Bulletproof FTPd... gonna see to its being fixed, before next release (which is schduled today/morrow.

I do use timestamp, just thought it would be waste of space posting it here..

And about the 2nd log, I said: "Cutting out the none needed stuff" as there is no reason to show that they say list, cwd success etc etc

And the 250 code is just a server mesaage "path comment" that you can customize to say ( youre now browsing blah blah ) and that makes absolutly no conflicts with FFXP, I use it myself.

I understand.

In order to correctly diagnose a compatiblity problem everything is needed. If you don't want to show it in public please send me a private message. A chopped up log is rather useless to me.

Ok then let us continiue in private, I sent you a HUGE message, I would have compressed it and thrown it on my webserver, but it seems offline atm

Anyways, I hope the PM will give you some clues, cuz actually Im not so sure its GFTPd after all, well it most have a part in it, as BPFTPd just said, no such directory and stopped...

To others in this thread, I can say, without giving the entire log file:

Ok I ran the same test today, here is a little detail:
stading in the "/-=[ Drive D ]=-" folder and que's only:
/-=[ Drive D ]=-/GuildFTPd38583.exe
/-=[ Drive D ]=-/moved.folder/
Then deleting the /moved.folder/ locally (via MS windows explorer).
Starts the transfer, and when FFXP or GFTPd cant access /moved.folder/, it goes to parant and starts, you can see that in the attached log file, as its starts to download from /-=[ Drive D ]=-/@@@@@backup/

I also tried to que it like this:
/-=[ Drive D ]=-/Download/GuildFTPd38583.exe
/-=[ Drive D ]=-/moved.folder/
Then when it cant find the /-=[ Drive D ]=-/moved.folder/, it goes to /-=[ Drive D ]=-/Download/ and starts downloading everything locatated in this folder.

Just ran the exact same test with BPFTP..
Got:
CWD /-=[ Drive D ]=-/moved.folder
250-Youre Browsing with the admin account
550 Access denied.

So there seems to be a conflict between FFXP & GFTPd, something we can work out?
