FlashFXP v3.0 is a free update but it requires a new registration key.
During installation you can choose where to install FlashFXP, You could of choose to install FlashFXP into a new folder.
If you run flashfxp.exe from the \backup folder and go into the about box (help -> about) there should be a FlashFXP ID listed. This number is your serial number and if you can provide it to support it will be very helpful.
the flashfxp.key contains the registration key, however once it has been entered into flashfxp the saved data within the file can't be used to directly register FlashFXP again.
