Limitation to 8,3 mb/s

Dear FlashFXP staff,

I'm having some speed issues on FlashFXP on my system. The transfer speed seems to be forced/limited to 8,3 mb/s.

If I donwload the same file from the same destination (10 gbit server in my town) with other software such as Total Commander or other FTP Programs, then I get the full 18,5 mb/s that my fibre connection is capable of.

I tried to play with the TCP/IP Buffer Size in the settings but that didn't help either.

Any idea what is wrong? Maybe a global bug?

Kind regards,
Ralf

Re: Limitation to 8,3 mb/s

What version of Windows OS are you using?

Did you re-connect to the server after making the changes to the TCP/IP buffer size?

What specific values did you test? I would recommend trying auto, default, 128KB

Start a cmd prompt and from the prompt enter netsh interface tcp show global and paste your results.

Re: Limitation to 8,3 mb/s

I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

I tried all possible combinations without any success :/ Other clients like Total Commander work just fine with full speed, so I doubt it's a problem with my system.

Anyway, here is the result:

Quote:
Globale TCP-Parameter
----------------------------------------------
Empfangsseite : enabled
Chimney-Abladestatus : automatic
NetDMA-Status : enabled
Direkter Cachezugriff (DCA) : disabled
Autom. Abstimmungsgrad Empfangsfenster : normal
Add-On "Überlastungssteuerungsanbieter" : ctcp
ECN-Funktion : disabled
RFC 1323-Zeitstempel : disabled

Re: Limitation to 8,3 mb/s

I was able to test it with Windows 8.1 Pro and it worked just fine (18,5 mb/s).

So this seems to be a Windows 7 only issue.
