Transfer Modes

I have recently purchased Flash and upon using it to upload E-blah, I noticed a strange problem. When I change the ftp transfer mode between binary/ASCII and auto, the setting does not apply - it just carries on in the previous setting. The only way I appear to be able to change modes is to change the setting then close flash down and relaunch it again?

Where exactly are you changing this setting?

I suspect you're changing it via the Preferences and this value is the default only on startup, to change the setting for the current session you need to change it via the Toolbar button or the main menu > Session > Transfer Mode.

You're right. I'm feeling particularly stupid now but thanks for the help!
