About version 5

Hello,

I just saw the new beta version of version 5. But, I want ask you if you plan in some moment include features to:

1) Access Amazon, SkyDrive and others.

2) Sync, easy way, between local to remote.

3) The tool to compare directory upgrade to include subdirectories.

4) Upgrade the tool for search files for search in files content.

Please, tell me something, specially in options 1 and 2.

Our plans for version 5.0 is full Unicode/UTF-8 support.

We are not planning on making any other major changes in v5.0 because we want to focus specifically on this change over.

In order to support Unicode/UTF8 we've switched to a newer compiler and converted all of our existing code to handle the changes, this has been a huge undertaking and very slow and painful progress. Mostly because it requires massive amounts of testing.

Attempting to add new features would only complicate things further and make it very difficult to determine whether or not an issue is caused by the conversion or some other new feature.

We will consider your suggestions for future releases but I am unable to say when and if they'll be added.

For Server File Search to work that would require you to download every single file local to your computer.
On larger sites and/or on large files that's simply unfeasible. You are better off searching directly on the server rather than trying to shoe-horn that in to FTP protocol which is not designed for that.
