Default newdate incorrect symlink?

I am using nxTools to create a new day dir each day. This is currently creating the folder correctly but the "today" link folder doesn't go to the virtual folder.
Example: if the day is the 12th
c:\site\0612 is created
c:\site\today link folder is created.

When on the ftp if I go into the today link the location is just /Today/
What I am expecting and wanting is that when you click into the today folder it takes you to /0612/

Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help.

You'll have to paste the line you are using from the nxTools config file to create the dated dir and the link to it in order for me to see what might be going on. I'm not aware of any issues with created dated dirs although I don't think I've ever done it with both the dir and link in the root dir.

Check out 'site help chattr' for how to use +l to see what symbolic links are set to point to. That should verify if /Today is a valid link or not.

set newdate(Default) {
{MP3 {New MP3} {/MP3/%M%D} {E:/Incoming/MP3/%M%D} {E:/Incoming/Today-MP3} True 0 0 0 777}
{MP3 {Close MP3} {/MP3/%M%D} {E:/Incoming/MP3/%M%D} {E:/Incoming/Yesterday-MP3} False -1 0 0 777}
}

[2] site chattr +l /today-mp3
[2] 200-CHATTR: /MP3/0612

thanks for the help.

Remember that ioFTPD is running on utc?
Atleast i think it does.
And that you have to account for offset.
Always set newdir to 00:01 in ioftpd.ini to be certain, +/- hours accounting for the offset.

The time the directories are created is not an issue. The folder are created everyday like they are suppose to. My issue is that fact that if I click on the Today-MP3 shortcut I don't get take to /MP3/0620 in my ftp client. It just takes me to /Today-MP3/. Create new folders in there does put them on my file system in the correct day dir folder but I want the path in the ftp to reflect the correct path not just show /Today-MP3/

Right I have finally sorted this out
In the ioftpd.ini there is a flag:
Keep_Links_In_Paths

I had this set to true, once I set it to false I got my desired outcome. hopefully this will serve someone in the future.
