Default [prob] Telnet kicks me out

Hey,

Well, installed ioFTPD today.
Everything went fine, read the documentation verry well and all looks ok to me.

I can succesfully login with ioFTPD:ioFTPD with flashfxp
but... if i try to login with telnet it kicks me out without giving a note in error.log

telnet localhost 10001
login: ioFTPD
password:

When I enter ioFTPD as password and then press enter it "hangs" for about 15 secs and then I loose connection with the ftpd.
Code:
login: ioFTPD
password:

De verbinding met de host is verbroken.
(means: the connection with the host is closed)
I searched here (probebly not good :S) but couldnt find the answer.
Someone knows it?

Ice.
