Angry Error Connecting to sites

I have started having problems connecting to some ftp's.

It only occurs on some ftp's when it hasnt occur before.
I get the message Error Connection Failed, which I know would normally mean the ftp is down.
But i've tried pinging the ftp and it is up!!
This has occured on multiple ftp's which I know should be up.

I been using this program for years and have never encountered this prob before.

I have also tried connecting to the ftp's with another fxp client and it works.

This problem just occured out of the blue.

What is going on?

Just because a IP is pingable doesn't mean the ftp server is active and online, it just means the IP is active.

Right, but that still doesnt account for being able to connect to the ftp's via another client.

I love flashfxp and have been using it for ages, this problem has just appeared out of the blue and is really bugging me.

Help!
