Default FFXP w/ Norton Firewall

I would like some help, if anyone's using flashfxp along with norton firewall 2002

whenever i connect to a server that doesn't support passive mode, i have to switch to port mode (duh), but the problem is my firewall gives me a warning and flashfxp hangs after the port command, eventually giving me a socket error. port mode works fine when i disable the firewall... i've given flashfxp full permission in the firewall, but this still doesn't fix the problem

any help would be appreciated!!

thanks in advance

no, i made sure the built-in one was off.
i have no problems with anything else, including running an ftp server... don't know why it's not working properly with flashfxp..

i've been planning on a format and clean install of windows (spring clean!), maybe it'll work fine after that...

sounds like a configuration problem with norton firewall. I use norton firewall 2000 and it allows you to move rules up/down, you may have a rule which is blocking FlashFXP. Moving FlashFXP to the top so it's evaluated first should solve the problem
