Cool Large que's of small files take too long.

Que's of large amounts of small files take endless amounts of time to transfer, seemingly the program takes a lot of time to reset connection for each file..is there a way to make it upload faster it takes about 3 seconds for each file regardless of size unless it starts to get numerous megabytes in the file...
