Default Differences between normal ABOR and SOFT ABORT

Hi guys

I have noticed that when you try to abort a transfer, FlashFXP sometimes shows the message "soft abort" instead of aborting normally with the ABOR command. It seems that without this "soft abort" when you try to abort, it will disconnect the whole connection.

Could anybody tell me what's the difference between them?

Thanks

A soft abort sends the ABOR command, a hard abort closes the data connection.

However, I have seen some FTP clients that when they send only the ABOR command, the client disconnects and you have to reconnect again.

Well ABOR is the proper way to abort a file transfer.
