Default QUIT and ABOR sent from flashfxp

well this happens a lot and i was trying to figure out why

example:

WinSock 2.0
Connecting to xxxxx
Connected to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Port 2015
220 Access Denied
USER xxxxx
QUIT
331 Password required for xxxxx.
Connection failed (Connection lost)

or

a ABOR sent after a file is skipped, i have read lots of other posts about this same problem in these very forum's but it doesn't appear like anybody knows why this happens or how to fix it..

it is the client sending the command to the ftp server tho, having nothing to do w/ the ftp server itself..

ALSO:

553- xxxxx.zip: This file looks like a dupe!
553 It was uploaded by xxxxx ( 0m 6s ago).
ABOR

but mind you glftpd doesn't send the abor command

(in both of these glftpd is used)

Which build of FlashFXP are you using?

I'm not quite sure about the first example. I would need more information, I have never seen anything like that before.

As for the second example, again, I need more information, Is this a FXP transfer? If so then sending ABOR is normal.

The QUIT & ABOR is being sent by FlashFXP.

please download the latest version 2.0 rc3 here http://www.flashfxp.com/rc.php and let us know if the problem persists...this build also will generate a debug.log if there is a problem.

hi,

the ABOR problem in combination with a dupe still exists... the problem is like flashfxp handle it. sometimes i get ABOR then Transfer Failed and flashfxp continue immediately and sometimes i get abor command successfull, then it takes around 15-30sec until flashfxp continue sending files.

i heard the problem is flashfxp and its engine. other ftp clients dont make such problems.

i dont know if its possible to fix that problem, but would be nice if u take a deeper look at this problem

yeah me too

if file is a dupe flash continues to u/l even though i hit abort, then again for hard abort...

sometimes have to disconnect to have it stop u/ling..
this is on both glftpd and Raidenftpd servers
with and without SSL

Aborting a file transfer doesn't always work as good as it should some ftp servers abort better than others (serv-u seems to be the best at handling abort).

When it comes to FXPing and depending on the ftp server software, 99% of the time it will not abort cleanly and you'll need to re-connect to either or both servers.
