Default Invalid directory size?

Greeting,

Where does FlashFXP get the size of the directory from?

I noticed when looking at a directory with a lot of subdirectories in it, that the size of the directories are invalid.

Like this:

"Some Homemade Movie", "343,58 MB", "02-07-2004 13:43"

But when entering the directory i see that it's in fact: 2,4 GB.

How come?

This may not be a bug-report so excuse me if it's not. :-)

Usually, the directory size is reported by the ftp daemon itself.
You can check the raw directory listing (Directory > View raw directory...).

Ok i see that. But then i wonder why FlashFXP doesn't put those values instead of the incorrect ones..?

flashfxp indeed shows dir size reported by the server
if you view raw dir list you'll see that ffxp is showing that size.
some servers report the correct amount, others don't..
for flashfxp to always show correct dir size it would need to browse thru all the subdirs, and as you can imagine on larger sites it can extremely slow
