do you NEED ident?
if your sites don't use ident service you can just ignore that message

if you are using a router, forward port 113 to your computer

Maybe you already have an ident server running - mIRC has one built in.

Well, Ident Server: Unable to listen on port 113 indicates that there is already something running. Maybe try the NetStat viewer:

Completely uninstall Zonealarm if you havn't done so already and reboot. Disable the antispyware and all software that can interfere.

If you are running an IRC client make sure you have enabled identd only while connecting.

Increase your connection timeout in FlashFXP to something decent (30 - 60 seconds to start - it depends how saturated your connection is) and make sure the identd userid and other information is correct. Also enable identd only while connecting in FlashFXP.

The identd on that server is functioning at this point in time.

Arrow doing nathano's tipps

hey nathano hey yall !!

I have completely uninstalled zonealarm .. i have done it like zonealarm.com write it.

So zonealarm is deleted.

Now my pc is on, only with 15 processes, all i need + internet.

Then i start Flash Fxp, checked all the identd userid and other information is correct.

Also enabled identd only while connecting in FlashFXP.

Irc uninstalled.

And i set the connection timeout in FlashFXP to 40 seconds.

So i connect 100x, nuthin happened.. always get this message --> Ident Server: Unable to listen on port 113
[R] Connecting to m31.kicks-ass.org -> DNS=m31.kicks-ass.org IP=213.100.248.38 PORT=8901
[R] Connected to m31.kicks-ass.org

I dont know what else i can do dudes

Question why?

no only this -->

Ident Server: Unable to listen on port 113
[R] Connecting to m31.kicks-ass.org -> DNS=m31.kicks-ass.org IP=213.100.248.38 PORT=8901
[R] Connected to m31.kicks-ass.org
[R] Connection failed (Connection lost)
[R] Delaying for 20 seconds before reconnect attempt #1

why?

Then either it is in use somewhere else or is being blocked.

You are not trying to connect to your own server are you ?
