Default Flashfxp - Rename Directory failed

Hey there.. firstofful sorry for my bad english. I'm german an still learning

I have some problems concerning the renaming of a dir

i have an onlineshop and there must be the dir /images/ in it's root dir. After installing it, it was gone and when i tried to uplaod it again

[R] MKD /htdocs/shop/images
[R] 550 /htdocs/shop/images: No such file or directory

so i tried to rename the dir on my HDD into image and uploaded this one without any problems. I tried to rename it manually on the ftp via flash fxp and again the following errormessage appeared

[R] RNFR image
[R] 350 File or directory exists, ready for destination name.
[R] RNTO images
[R] 550 Rename images: No such file or directory
Rename Failure!

I thought about the possibility that the dir images already exists and might be invisible
so i look for an option of setting visibility on and of but didn't find one.. so i downloaded another program and tried it with that one, but no directory with this name found.
i set the chmod of my shop dir on 777 and tried it again.. but also without any success

i still do not know why i can't get this images dir to work!
it's very necessary for the shop because there'll be all my images saved and without a dir i can't upload product pics

does anyone of you know how to help?

thanks a lot!

Jacob
