server to server transfer fails after a couple of files

like the title says, i'm trying to fxp some files from on server to another and in the beginning it works just fine but after a couple of files it just aborts and creates zero byte files for the next 2 or 3 files. i tried everything i can think of and even changed from gene6 (3.2.0) to serv-u (6.0.0.2) and back.

i am using "CLNT FlashFXP 3.2.0.1080" no firewall no router. i know the source ftp works just fine noone has reported any problems.

is this a fxp version problem? other guy's clients seem to work without problems.

i am fairly new to this so i'm happy for any suggestions
