Possibility for conditional de/select

at first... thanks for reading this on this old forum

thanks for still being part of this.

i am currently trying to achieve a select of folder that have a given group.

I see the %g selector.

But I can't wrap my mind around conditional selection or deselection.

i tried like

/select *
{
/deselect %g=root
}

any other approaches.....

would be cool if you can help me out =)
