Hey,

I'm using SSL on ioftpd and before I upgraded to the latest ZA there was no problems.

Now with the latest ZA when I login I see:

[L] 227 Entering Passive Mode (0,0,0,0,6,187)
[L] Opening data connection IP: 0.0.0.0 PORT: 1723
[L] Data Socket Error: Cannot resolve host name
[L] List Error
[L] PASV
[L] 227 Entering Passive Mode (0,0,0,0,5,236)
[L] Opening data connection IP: 0.0.0.0 PORT: 1516
[L] Data Socket Error: Cannot resolve host name
[L] List Error

If I turn ZoneAlarm off I have no problems and the certificate is resolved.

Is anyone else having this problem? Ioftpd has full rights, as far as I'm aware.

Plz don't reply back saying ZA is sh*te and get another firewall etc etc :p

You might want to report issue to zonealarm's authors. (sounds like either AcceptEx()/accept(), or gethostbyaddr isn't returning hosts as it's supposed to.. not sure about your config, so it coudl be fault in any of those :])

i'm having the same problem now (though not using SSL)

though I can connect if i turn off Passive Mode in my ftp client, but that's a little troublesome ... will have to talk to the people at Zonealarm and see what's going on

Well ZA is sh*te and get another firewall. :p

Seriously, have you been to their user forums? Most of their "gurus" are moronz...

BTW, ZoneLabs was taken over by Checkpoint. I used to use ZA and it was gr8 but now it's a completely different [buggy as hell] product. Cheers.
