As anyone familiar with BPFTPD (Formerly G6 FTP Server) knows, event based scripting is an incredibly useful feature of a file transfer application. On a server, it can be used for CRC checking, running an IRC sitebot etc. I think that it would be a useful feature of a client too. You could schedule an archive set to decompress after a download was complete, or use a program such as AKOSFV to check the integrity of files as they were downloaded (which is what I really want it for), but I think that this could be a powerful and useful tool for a wide variety of purposes.

AJC.

mmm... automatic check of .sfv files after download could be an interesting feature; through external programs, like QuickSFV (i think that is not needed to built-in this feature on FlashFXP) and with the event OnTransferComplete or something else... :)

Yes, I mentioned AKOSFV because it's one I've used with FTP daemons before, and it works perfectly. It runs from a command line parameter, processes the sfv when it's first uploaded, creates a list of .missing files, and keeps a folder with a progress count which is updated as files are completed. At the end it renames the directory to (SITE)-X Files X.XXMB COMPLETE-(SITE). I think this would be really neat. If you want to take a look at ako to get a better idea of what I mean, check out his site at http://www.acc.umu.se/~aquila/akosfv/
Cheers,
AJC
