Skins?

Hi.

I've just registered to this board. :)

Anyway, here's a suggestion for future versions of FlashFXP. How about a "Change Skin" feature? I know that it may be the least useful feature of all at this time, but then again it would make the program look more...funky. :)

Not sure how hard it would be for bigstar, but I'd like to hear his opinion..

FlashFXP already stands out from the competition with its simplicity, yet sheer power in performance. Why not make it even more unique with this feature? I'm sure that it would make some more heads turn... :)

I don't think that at this time another FTP client supports that.

Yeah, right. Please keep user interface clean, simple and practical. If somebody wants jilly-bully, take some other stupid-looking ftp client.

you want some "ubber" looking ftp client that looks all smooth and cool, go get 3D Ftp. You want something that works, always works, and is the best at what it does? Get Flash. Why complicate stuff with skins? Would probably only slow down flashfxp, and it would put a lot of work on BigStar where he's got some more important features to implement.

I'd really prefer that we stay away from skins because it goes against the one major reason that I use Flash: speed. Flash is fast and skins would add needless overhead, more complex code that's more likely to crash, etc.

since that win xp was released and everyone has those fancy stupid themes and styles they want skins for everything ...
best would be adding skinning support for those [_] [ ] [x] buttons top right of every window
