I am running an MS ICS Network (windows 2000) so I have a pc with a private IP like 192.x.x.x and i'm having problems connecting to any ftp site. I think its a problem with port forwarding from the main pc thats feeding it the internet...

200 Type set to A.
PORT 192,168,0,2,11,247
200 PORT Command successful.
LIST
150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls.
426 Data connection closed, transfer aborted.
Data Socket Error: Connection Failed
421 Connection timed out - closing.

I can't send out any files or connect to things with ports. I am stuck trying to allow ports or flashfxp, I'm trying to setup the application in the Sharing tab of my Internet NIC but I'm kinda clueless. Plz help :(

Thanks :)

Normally NAT takes care of this, Are you connecting to a FTP server on a port other than 21?

There are two solutions.

1. Preferences / Proxy Tab / Enable passive mode

2. You can tell FlashFXP to listen on your external IP.
Preferences / Proxy Tab / bind local ports to IP.
This will only work if you configure ICS to forward the incoming connections to your machine, I'm not entirely sure how you would do this.
