Problem with transfers

After more than a week up the server begans to slow down and when I connect I see Active transfers: 4294967133 O_O Now I restarted the server and get 0 active transfers, then users start to connect to server and active transfers is five with 6 users transfering.
Can be a problem when io kills connections??
