desktop remains on startup

Have downloaded and installed Flashfxp succesfully, but when I want to start the program nothing happens. When I check the programs who are running in the background(Ctrl Alt Del) Flashfxp is between them but my monitor doesn't display anything but my desktop. Any suggestions????
I have already tried to disinstal and reinstal with no succes.

What is running in the background ?

What OS are you using ?

What build of FFXP are you trying ? and did you download it from our site (some sites have corrupted versions) ?

and final question I assume your not trying to use a cracked / hacked / pirate version ?

I'm trying to start the trial version v1.4.3 downloaded from http://www.flashfxp.com/. OS = W98, software in background is:
Winproxy, Supervoice, Explorer, Rnaapp, Cnform, Em_exec, Poproxy, Loadqm, Rundll32, Navapw32, Keyprobe, Starter, Mapiicon, Systray and Flashfxp
