I have a slight problem with Flash FXP. Sometimes, when I upload file it doesn't finish the upload yet the message window reports it as complete. ie;

TYPE A
200 Type set to A.
PASV
227 Entering Passive Mode (<ip address>).
STOR benefits_tmp.htm
150 Opening data connection for benefits_tmp.htm.
226 File received ok
Transferred: benefits_tmp.htm 4,241 bytes in 0.15 (4.14 KB/Sec)

Problem is its only actually uploaded 3,736 bytes. I can try and try again, but it only ever does 3.736 bytes. If I leave it for a few minutes it might work, or it might not. Sometimes it uploads fully first time. Some files are not affected at all, paticularily smaller ones.

Any ideas?

Make sure you don't upload the file as binary, or are not using a cracked version. If you are, it's mis-behaving by design.

I can assure you we are using a licensed copy. I'll try the binary thing.

Update: Tried transfering as ASCII and it still does it. Any other ideas?

Hmm, if setting it as specified ASCII still fails I'm puzzled. Have you looked at what gets uploaded? Does it look okay or garbled? You might want to get another copy of ffxp in case yours is corrupted. If it looks okay and works, it's just a case of differing file-sizes due to different block-sizes used by the local and remote file-systems, in which case it's nothing to worry about.

I have looked at what gets uploaded, its actually HTML files, so its easy to see that the file isn't complete. I have noticed that if the file size is under around 4k then it completes the upload, if the file size is over 4k then it can, but not always, fail completely.

Hmm, sounds like you might timeout during the transfer. Try using the send noops during transfer setting to keep the connection alive, but beware, it could have some adverse effects. ;)

Nope, still doing it. Its beginning to get annoying.

Well, if it becomes unbearable, zip up the files and get someone to unzip after you've uploaded them if you are unable to access the shell. Also, see if the same happens in MS FTP.

I've tried WS FTP and it uploads the same file okay.
