I have a suggestion that might be useful, expand the logging feature to where you can choose which actions you want logged (like file failures, etc) and being able to choose which site(s) you want logging performed on.

you can switch status windows between regular mode and only errors.

Are you talking about where I left click in the status window at the bottom where I can either select error/transfer window or status window?

Yes, but that's not what you were asking, was it?

I'm not sure how to swith to error mode only on the log like MaxxCon was talking about.

The log will store everything the way it works now. What MxxCon described was related to the display, not the actual contents of the log.

Yea, it seemed that way. I think that would be a good idea for a future version though, to be-able to dictate what actually gets logged in the file. That way, if you're just wanting to log certain things, you wouldn't need to do as much searching and the log file wouldn't need to be quite as large.

I tend to agree, but it depends how much excess waste of resources filtering what gets logged would create. Now I think it's just a stream of what gets output in the status-windows. Bigstar should be able to tell if it's a viable idea. As for the size, use the trim-log option in Options. That way the oldest entries get deleted when you hit the specified limit.

Which messages would you like to see seperately filtered? Lets go from there.

I would just like to have a log of files that had failed. Thanx.

Interesting.. Here's a thought.. Have you ever considered enabling "Keep failed transfers in queue" from Preferences / Advanced tab. That would allow you to see which files have failed and then reset and retry them.

No, I havn't tried that. Would that automatically attempt to re-try failed transfers? I would probably need to delete failed files first(either because they would be short or 0-byted) before I re-send the files.

Nope, it just marks them failed and you can choose which ones you want to retry...its perfect

Hehe! That's really cool. Thanx!
