Hello Support

I am trying to test FTP connection between my PC and notebook. In my own LAN, I can access the server fine but when I tried to access thru the router IP, I got this error message. I have done the port forwarding , port 20 and 21 ,in the router and XP firewall also has opened port 21.

WinSock 2.0 -- OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004
[R] Connecting to 69.199.120.255 -> IP=69.199.120.255 PORT=21
[R] Connection failed (Connection refused)
[R] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1

I am trying to do a simulate outside internet connection to test before I ask friend to help out here. I have tied with the toggle tab where I selected the option for "site with IP Masq/NAT..". Still no luck. Did my idea of this kind of self-test isn't a workable solution ?

Tks in advance for your reply and advises

your router more than likey doesn't support loopback. Plus this not a true method to test the ftpd for outside connections
