In windows, when you right click and drag it gives you the coption to "Copy" and "Move".
There should be a feature as well with Transfer like a "Move" option which deletes the source file once the file is downloaded or FXP'd. It'd save myself huge amounts of time while moving files from dev -> staging -> live here. :D
No need to go back and delete the directory tree because it cleans it up as its transfering.
