View Full Version : Serv-U Secure TLS only with FFXP 3.0.1050
Hi,
Can't seems to connect with 'Implicit SSL' and 'Auth TLS/SSL' to Serv-u 4.x that is configured only to accept secure connection at TCP 990.
However when set to accept both secure and non-secure, it'll go into secure mode at port 21.
Any idea?

Serv-u (5.1) configured to only accept secure connections.
FlashFXP configured to use Implicit SSL.
The above configuration works great for me.
I didn't have Serv-u 4.x, I would highly recommend upgrading to the latest version.

what about Serv-u 5.2? I just download trial version and installed on local PC and I use FlashFXP 3.0 formal release.
The SSL connection failed with following log.
[R] Connecting to SecureTestAccount -> IP=10.10.1.37 PORT=21 (attempt # 3)
[R] Connected to SecureTestAccount
[R] Connected. Negotiating SSL session..
[R] SSL ERROR: unknown protocol
[R] Connection failed (Connection closed by client)
The Serv-U has been configured to only accept secure connections and has generated valid SSL certificate, Client tried all different options and still can't do anything. if I use Auth SSL /Auth TLS , the error message is
[R] AUTH TLS
[R] 500 'AUTH': command not understood.
[R] Failed SSL/TLS negotiation, disconnected
anyone can help me on this ?

I just upgraded to Serv-U 5.2 and it works as well.
Normally you use Auth SSL/TLS on port 21 and "Implicit SSL" on port 990, Provided you're using the default port numbers are you sure you're using the the proper setting? Maybe you have it backwards
