When trying to import a text file dump from SmartFTP, which is in the format:

ftp://user:pass@host:port/path

It only imports 1 unreadable site:

￿曾TEdit as site name
ÿþf as host name

here is a sample of the first few lines of 93 sites:

ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@ftp.cdrom.com/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@nssdcftp.gsfc.nasa.g ov/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@oak.oakland.edu/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@papa.indstate.edu/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/win95
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@photo1.si.edu/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@ftp.sunet.se/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@wuarchive.wustl.edu/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@wuarchive.wustl.edu/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@ftp.xfree86.org/
ftp://anonymous:user%40smartftp.com@ftp.bioware.com/

Hello,

I performed a test import using the short list you provided and FlashFXP had no problem importing those sites.

I'm not quite sure why your complete list would encounter such an error. Perhaps try just part of your list and see how that goes.

ok. i edited the file to remove my private entries. The attached file is what I try to import. Each time it always says 1 site(s) imported in the log window and only give that garbage site name and host.

I think I determined the problem, your text file is saved as Unicode Text. The import routine does not recongize this text file format. You need to save or convert the file as ANSI Text.

Yep the "%"' must have been the problem.

thanks!
