List Error

I am a happy FlashFXP user currently using version 2.1 (build 924). From time to time I have a problem listing directories on ftp-sites.

The error I get is the following:

Data Socket Error: Connection refused
List Error

The ftp-server of a friend I do connect to shows an active session.
The problem is that I cannot see files and/or folders.

I am running in passive mode and do have almost everything in default settings.

When I do not use passive mode and make a connection the following appears as a message:

PORT 10,0,0,155,9,106
500 Invalid PORT Command.
LIST
150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls.
425 Can't open data connection.
List Error


What is it I need to do to solve this? :p

10.0.0.155 is your LAN ip, which in this case is wrong
go to options, proxy/firewall/ident tab and configure flashfxp to bind to your INTERNET ip

In the Proxy/Firewall/Ident tab I ticked "Bind sockets to this address" and entered my (outside) IP address.
Although I can see a change/ progress it still does not show files and/or folders.

This is what I see:

PWD
257 "/Ed" is current directory.
TYPE A
200 Type set to A.
PORT 81,69,xxx,xxx,10,77
200 PORT command successful.
LIST

With passive mode ON, I do get the following:

you should beat up admin of that server becuase it is misconfigured.

i suggest you upgrade to flashfxp 3.0, it handle such problems better.
in site manager go to options tab and check "use site ip for passive mode".

alternatively, you can disable pasv mode, go to options and check "limit local port range to" option, select some port range and then forward that range in your router

You are 100% correct MxxCon!

I have installed FlashFXP 3.0 and can see that this release handles problems in a better way.
I also did beat up the admin of the server I had problems with :D .
He had misconfigured his port for FTP (he used a different one than port 21).

This did solve the problem!
