I'm having a problem connecting to any ftp unless it's on port 21, I looked over the forum here first before I posted this to maybe find out why but no luck..

I'm running windows ME and i'm networked together to another computer. through network either net cards...

but here is the errors I recieve:

when I uncheck passive I get this error??

150 Opening data connection for directory list.
425 Cannot open data connection (10060).

when I got passive checked I get this error??

Data Socket Error: Connection failed (Connection timed out)

I've went over and over the setting with no luck, any help would be much appreciated..

First thing that comes to mind is a firewall ... are you running a firewall on your pc ? or are you going through work which is running a firewall ? etc.

When you say your networked to another pc, is the internet on the pc your using flash from ? or is the other pc running the internet and your sharing it from their ?

Get back to us on this, thats all I can think of at the moment that may be related.... Sounds like a firewall or sharing issue.

If the remote PC is using the windows-sharing option (ICS), there's your cause.

sorry about not giving you enough info, the computer that i'm running flash fxp on is the host computer, and no I'm not running a firewall and yes the remote PC is using the windows-sharing option (ICS), if that is the cause do I have another option with sharing the internet?? thanks a bunch for the help, much appreciated..

From my experience, the best option to share the internet is WinRoute... it usually runs like as if its on the net itself.. but there is always people who have different opinions.

Please other members dont reply bagging my suggestions, as this forum is about DooDz problem... :)

Id suggest trying a few other inet sharing progs, 3rd party such as WinRoute.
