I've tried to turn off passive mode in options and in site manager, but somehow it tries to transfer using passive mode anyway and just skips the files and lists instead :( ..how can i turn passive mode completely off? I use alt-site-to-site download (not pasv)....i've tried everything by now :( it used to work but the damn passive thing has to be turned off for good..

Are you trying to perform a site to site transfer? If so then you need to change the Alternative FXP options. keep min mind one site must use passive mode.

Hi bigstar

Thanks for the fast reply...

I didn't knew one of the sites had to be checked as passive mode, but yes, i'm trying to transfer from one site to another. It's weird, cause it worked as supposed to a while ago.

SITE A (alt site-to-site pasv on) ---> file ---> SITE B ( alt s-to-s download on) =

[17:10:21] [R] PASV
[17:10:21] [R] 227 Entering Passive Mode (xxx,xx,xx,xx,xx,9<
[17:10:21] [R] TYPE I
[17:10:21] [R] 200 Type set to I.
[17:10:21] [L] TYPE I
[17:10:21] [L] 200 Type set to I.
[17:10:21] [R] PASV
[17:10:22] [R] 227 Entering Passive Mode (xxx,xx,xx,xx,xx,9<
[17:10:22] [R] PASV

SITE A (alt site-to-site down on) ---> file ---> SITE B ( alt s-to-s pasv on) =

[17:13:08] [L] 426 Connection closed: Connection timed out.
[17:13:09] [R] 425 Cannot open data connection.
[17:13:09] Transfer Failed!

:confused:

edit: and why does the alt. site-to-site change automatically in favorites sites. When I set it one time it's supposed to be like that in the future.

If I understand you correctly you checked alt fxp for both sites? Both the sender and the reciever? This in turns cancels each other out.

Once the setting it set it should retain its value. I conducted a couple tests and this value appears to be saved/restored correctly.
