I hope that's all the info you need to help me.

Here's the message I'm getting:

Connecting to Lennex.com
Connected to Lennex.com -> IP=65.61.165.157 PORT=21
220 ready, dude (vsFTPd 1.0.1: beat me, break me)
USER bdweb303314
331 Please specify the password.
PASS (hidden)
530 Login incorrect.
Connection failed

Is it me, or is there something very wrong with that 220 message?

Please be kind, I'm pretty new to this whole thing. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

the 220 line is just a server message, has nothing to do with your account. you need to check your account details for the correct username or password, or both

and/or contact server administrator to make sure you/they have correct login info.
reply 220 is perfectly fine, it's just "welcome" message from a server.
however "530 Login incorrect." says exactly what it looks like...either username or password or both are incorrect.

ok, the problem was the new password just took a couple days to work.

now I have a new problem. FlashFXP is working brilliantly with one site, but i get a "connection timed out" error when I try to log onto my other site. both are configured the same. any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

wrong IP or PORT, double check the details

that did it! <3s

I appreciate the help.

btw, Flash FXP rocks - I know next to nothing about ftp, but I don't need to with this program! best $25 bucks I've spent in a while. ;)
