1 - use "RAS Graph & Stats"
2 - enable application grouping in taskbar options
3 - just like pressing elevator button many times, it's not going to come any sooner
4 - it's impossible to have multi-threaded uploads becuase it's impossible to remotely merge files
in the future before making any more suggestions/posts, please search msgboard!

actually, cuteftp has implemented a way to do this if you use their client AND server together....but its my no means a standard.

Totally Incorrect if you are talking about speed times for downloading files.

Just an idea ...
Seeing that many people are constantly asking for multithreading features on FlashFXP and, I think, seems that there's some confussion about the concepts (i'm a little lost when talking about multithreading implementation on FlashFXP), could be a good idea to write a post about Multithreading in general and the differences between Multithreading (for example related with process) and Multithreading (related with programs like getright, that 'split' files into small parts).
Like a small FAQ or a "Read this before asking anything related with multithreading" post.

Last i checked the server did not have to be a cute ftp server. But that was quite some time ago in the early stages of cuteftp pro v2. (downloading)
However, as Mxx stated, this will not work for fxp and will not work for uploads unless the ftpd fully supports it (which lets face it, is not gonna happen because it would encourage hammering)

you must also remember that you wont get to many sites that will allow you to thread, but those that have enough good access to such sites you have an option of using cuteftp pro which will thread in parts. it works extremely well, but the ftpd itself is not..
