Corrupt Files?

I download mp3s from a mate's ftp and each and everyone jumps. Other people have no probs downloading from his at all and I have no probs getting from other ftps. I can fxp his files to others and download and the file is good. Any suggestions?

Which FTP server software (including the version) is running on the ftp server?
