View Full Version : space in front of pathname (from paste)
One thing i'd like added/fixed is for ffxp to remove any spaces at the very beginning of a pathname. say, if you enter a site, and paste a path from a "site search" or some such, you must be very careful not to include any spaces in front of the pathname.
Can this be done?

sometimes there are spaces in pathnames though and at the beginning i think some might not like to have this feature added unless it was an option choice it might be good
Well, you normally don't start a pathname with a space - i've never seen it anyway. And, in this case, you usually start with "/" - having a space there does not make sense. imho, it should be something done automatically, but *may* have an option to turn it off. I don't see the point to adding the option, though. For instance;
/usr/local/home/mystuff - to have a space in front of this does not make sence. And just pasting "mystuff" or "usr" (without the slash in front) will most likely give you an error.

No, Actually this hasn't been addressed yet.
The text selection in the status window was changed so that the selected text is trimmed of spaces at the beginning and end, this was done for an unrelated reason.
