I appreciate FlashFXP telling me that a new release is available, but think it is chicken sh*t to force me to upgrade. I purchased the version installed and don't think it should have been disabled just because a new version is available.
Just one man's opinion, but I'm sure some others will agree.

what are you talking about?
flashfxp isn't forcing you to upgrade if you don't want.
but then again, there is absolutly no reason not to want to upgrade..

Maybe it was a beta? I have no way of knowing, because I couldn't check the installed version. It would pop-up the message "this version is expired", then exit and launch the FlashFXP home page. I reinstalled the latest version over this installation and it seems to be OK now.

only beta versions expire. if you had installed the latest "final" version, it would never expire.

when you desided to participate in beta test you are expected to always use the latest available beta to make sure that existing bugs have been fixed and no new bugs introduced.
and if beta tester don't bother to make sure they are running latest version, this expiration does.
