FlashFXP slower than WS FTP

Hi. when i download from a site which consistently gives me 45kbyte/second with flashFXP, I am limited to about 10kbyte/second. The fast speeds only come when using WS FTP. I have no idea why the difference. I have compared the speeds using the sites speed reporting system and also my firewall and FlashFXP is always slower at 10k and WS FTP downloads at 45k. The same goes for UltraFXP... slow! Im struggling to work out how to fix it.
Im running windows XP Pro and a 512k/128k ADSL connection.

obvious question, did you limit flashfxp to download at 10k/s?;)
if not, try playing around with upload packet size options in flashfxp...
also maybe you might want to try reinstalling ffxp into new dir..it's possible some settings got messed up and preventing you from getting max speed..
