I have setup a server on a corega router (sold here in Asia), and the router has the DMZ function set to the linux box. Two friends (one in Japan and one in Europe) and I can connect with no problems. When another friend also using FlasFXP 2.0.908 tries to connect, he gets a passive port error and another friend gets ssl/tsl failed to load error. I am at a total loss why some can connect and some can't. Any ideas?

tell your friend with 908 to upgrade to newest available version
tell your friend with ssl error to redownload full package from http://www.flashfxp.com becuase it contains correct .dll files that must be used with that version of FlashFXP
as for passive error, without seeing exact status log and knowing more about network setup of that user, the only thing i can suggest they try is to disable pasv mode, and to try to connect like that.

The person with the passive problems got the following error...
227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,1,3,5,40)
Data Socket Error: Connection timed out
This is all he could tell me.

Try Pref's -> Proxy/Firewall/Ident -> Bind Sockets to this address .. then put your internet IP in there..
Could be that, seams as if FFXP is using the LAN IP instead of the net.

briankb713, if that's what that person is getting when he connect to YOUR server, then it's your server is misconfigured.
227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,1,3,5,40)
that's internal, nonroutable ip.
you server must reply with your internet ip.
consult documentation for your server for exact steps to resolve this.

When the person update to the newest FlashFXP, they no longer had the problem and could login. It seems anything before version 2.1.9xx of FlashFXP doesn't work with glftpd.
Thanks for you help...

that's absolutly not true :)
all versions of FlashFXP will work with any FTPD as long as that ftpd follow FTP protocol stats.
something either in your or his config changed..
