And then u can see the bytes starting (or not) to increase "Loading Bytes"...but it never lists anything.
I would like to say that i use LeechFTP for the same FTPs and do not xperience the same pb (listing ok)...but it's so lame comparing to this one...

Any idea ?

after LIST command, do you get reply from the server similar to this:

150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for file list
226 Transfer complete.
List Complete: 3,564 bytes in 0.66 (3.48 KBps)

can you paste status log from leechftp?

FlashFXP uses passive mode by default, which the server you are connecting to obviously doesn't support. Since PORT mode works with leechFTP, disable pasv in FlashFXP either globally or per site.

Options/Preferences/Proxy.Firewall.Ident/Use Passive Mode...thats the global setting. its also a site setting under the options tab.

Good luck.

Passive Mode disabled : here's the result...worst !

WinSock 2.0

220 ProFTPD 1.2.8 Server (ProFTPD: Serveur de mise a jour des pages sur perso.free.fr) [ftpperso1-2.free.fr]
USER neeeko
331 Password required for neeeko.

230 Vous vous etes connectes 155 fois, neeeko
SYST
215 UNIX Type: L8
REST 100
350 Restarting at 100. Send STORE or RETRIEVE to initiate transfer

PWD

TYPE A

hmm...not sure what to say. the only difference i can see is that leechftp is sending the PORT before the TYPE, and flashfxp is the other way around...I have a few proftpd sites, and flashfxp works flawlessly on them...bigstar?

I dunno. I don't see a problem.

try to disable WinXP firewall and see if that makes any difference.
also try to reinstall FFXP to a new dir, you might have some settings messed up which you are overlooking..

Well it didnt help reinstalling...Will leave it then...turning to another lame prog...
I love FlashFXP...especially because it recognizes my intellimouse explorer with the two buttons on the side to browse ftps and local folders...

But ok i have to abandon it...

Found something else (yeah i wanna use FlashFXP :()...

When it says Listing in the status bar and when the window supposed to list the FTP folder remains blank.....

> right clicking on it and changing the way the icons are arranged (for example switching from "By Name" to "By Size") is revelaing the content !!! But its still stuck...and i'm only allowed to change this way once...then it's stuck...

Still no idea ? :(

This is a real mystery to me.

The ftp server should reply "150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for file list"
