some people may not be aware of this, but bbb.se caps all transfers to the .us except when using port 81 or port 444, tho im not sure why exactly. when downloading directly from a server in bbb.se, I get about 15-30k. However, in order to take advantage of the port trick, if I set up a server with BulletProof FTP Server (formerly known as G6) on port 444, and then fxp from the bbb server to the server I set up with BPFTP, I can download at my maximum speed, 350k. This trick does not work with RaidenFTPD, however, and again, im not sure why. I was wondering if it would be possible in a later version to make flashfxp work with the port trick, except while downloading directly, instead of fxping to a local server. for example, in the site manager, under the options or advanced tab, you could tell it to only use one certain port while downloading (such as port 81 or 444). I'm not sure if it would work, since BPFTP does, but Raiden doesnt, but if it did work it would be a really great feature, then I wouldnt have to bother with BPFTP nemore.

Seems like a RaidenFTPD problem or at least a request that you should post at RaidenFTPD's forum.

ah im sorry i didnt make my original post clear enough...

what I was saying, is that I would like if if I could specify in flashfxp, a single port to use to download from certain sites (like bbb sites), so that it would incorporate the port trick with a direct download instead of having to set up a local server and fxp to yourself... for example: SiteABC is located in the .us, but SiteXYZ is located in BBB.se ... in the site manager, SiteABC would use the normal local ports specified, but I could tell flashfxp to only use the local port 444 for direct downloads from SiteXYZ, and then i would be able to download at my normal speed from both sites.

This trick works because when the control connection uses port 444, the data connection is using 443, the https port, which is probably uncapped due to 80,443 (http, https) www usage. Apparently If you use that group BBB thing, as S3cur1ty stated, it should make the data travel on port 443.
