Instant cutoff Port 21

Hello there

I'm having trouble connecting to a Port 21 at Uni (i think there is a router/firewall) i know all the ports are blocked except 21.

I can get onto most port 21's but for some reason this one is a private myftp (which i have an account for) but it keeps kicking me out instantly at the point of the password

331 User name okay, need password.
PASS (hidden)
Connection failed (Connection lost)

the PW is OK as someone else tried it from another machine with the same details. The person who's server it is can see me login and then logoff straight away.

I've tried it passive on/off .....default file list... and now i'm stuck :(

for one you should really upgrade FlashFXP. v2.0b208 is way too old
what was server admin see right after you enter a password? does it show any errors to him?
PASV and list mode won't make any difference here becuase you aren't even getting to that part..

and no there are no error messages...as far as he can see it says

2.0b908 is still very old.
FlashFXP v2.1b924 is the latest version.

Well i have upgraded to v2.1 924 and it still does it :(
