Hidden Passwords

Help! I keep trying to connect to a server and I provide the username and password.. but I keep getting "Username: soandso
"Password (Hidden)" Is there any way to unhide my password? Or take out the asterisks? I think that is preventing me from connecting and being able to download my files.. :confused:

make sure you typed in your password correctly.
if you are not sure what your password is, contact server administrator.
to reveal currently entered password in site manager, enable Application Protection password, once this is done site manager will have "reveal" checkbox next to the password text box.
