RETR xxxx.MPG
550 'xxxx.MPG' : No Such File.
Transfer Failed!
Yet I can see the file clearly in the directory! why cant i download it :(
* FlashFXP v2 build906
* WinXP
* Running behind Router and Internet Connection Sharing
* Windows XP firewall
* Norton 2003 Antivirus

Did you try another client? If another client can't download it either, it isn't a FlashFXP thing. (can be a file permission thing i.e.)

it does look like file permision problem.
or something wrong with that filename..since i doubt it's real name is "xxxx.MPG"

ya, filename shouldn't be the problem..
did you check for file permisions?
is it problem with only this file or all files on this server or dir?

well, you need at least read access permision :)
If you can't CHMOD the file to 444 or above, it may well be that it's CHOWNed to another user (such as "nobody").
I have a script that allows CHMODing files that are owned by nobody (which is what files that are owned by Apache are generally "owned" by).
I had this problem before, and this script helped me sort it. If this is your problem, just download the attached file and read the included nobody.html file to learn how to use it. :)
Edit: When a moderator approves the attachment, that is. :)
