Graphics Lag

I have been a registered user of FlashFXP for slightly over a year and have always wondered why when loading a directory of GRAPHICS files (jpg, gif, png, etc.), the local directory display window is VERY VERY slow to update.

Can someone explain why this occurs?

we are not psychics here..:)
we need to know your flashfxp build and your os.
how many files is it in such dir? do you have any antivirus soft running? tried disabling it to see if this problem goes away?

I just upgraded to build 924 from 908, running WinXP SP1a and running AVG Anti-Virus 6.0.483. There are normally many files in the local directory (over 25). This new build seems to have relieved the problem.
