i need to connect to a ftp which requires my ip address to connect the only problem is that i have a dynamic ip.
i got a dns ip but flash fxp will only recognise my isp ip not my dns ip anyone have any ideas how to sort it

i'm sorry but neither of the 2 sentances you said don't make any sense..:confused:
to connect to a ftp which requires my ip address to connectdo you need to tell site administrator your ip but you have dynamic ip? so tell range of ips that you get..
flash fxp will only recognise my isp ip not my dns iphuh?:confused: what do mean by "isp ip" and "dns ip"....there is no such term as "dns ip"

the ftp site requires a ip addressto connect to it and password as my ip isn't static i cannot get a accout so i got a dns ip so i would have a static name the only problem is that fxp will not recongnise the dns name and trys to connect with my own ip from my service provider any ideas how to make it connect through the dns name

ok, you are confusing a few things here...
you got dynamic dns service account so your ip will always resolve to same "static name" as you put it.
when you connect to ftp you ALWAYS use ip address, not "dns name" as you put it.
what you need to do is get dynamic dns service account so you'll have dynamic host name that will always resolve to your ip..and it seems like you already done that.
now what you need to do is tell site administrator so use that dynamic dns host name to check for your ip, so server will automaticly resolve that host name and get your correct ip.
on the client side you need small software that will update dynamic host name with your current dynamic ip.
you don't need to make any changes to flashfxp
