Devs,

I'm currently using the 30 day trial FlashFXP 2 downloaded from your site, and like what it has to offer.

The only reservation I have with the software is the size of the buttons, much larger than other application buttons.

Ideally I'd like to see them the same size as the "Small Icons" icon set within Windows, and the same size as other software applications.

So I was wondering if it's at all possible to change the size of the buttons?

If not, please consider this as a feature request for the next release (Optional Large/Small).

I'll purchase right now if someone can tell me how to change them to a smaller icon-set! The large icons are nice, but seem a little pre-schooly and oversized for a serious FTP/FXP client.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

32x32 are too large and 16x16 are too small.
flashfxp's buttons are of perfect size.
there is currently no way to change button size.

Due to the complexity of our icons, our graphic artist was unable to make them any smaller. Sorry but smaller icons just aren't possible.

Bigstar,

Thanks for the reply, and information.

If I may, I'd like to point you towards a company that a company that I used to work for has/had used. There are some very nice icons available and a few that would suit FlashFXP. IIRC (but don't hold me to it) they also do private jobs too.

Their website is located here (http://www.glyfx.com/).

Please don't take my suggestion in a negative way, it's just that I'd like to use FlashFXP more, but I find it hard to work with due to the lack of toolbar customisability and the rather large icons. Take it as constructive criticism on a very good piece of software.

I'll take another look at FlashFXP in the future.

Best Regards,

Kris

We happen to like the current icon designs we paid for, the only way we would consider this is if there was enough demand for smaller icons to justify the cost and this other company could match our existing design. Our current icons are 24x24

Fair enough.

I can understand you defending your choice of buttons and size.

All I was trying to convey was, that for such a serious FTP program (especially one thats evolved from where it has). I personally would have liked to have seen smaller icons, and toolbar customisability.

I'm not saying lose the colours, just that 16x16 is more than enough for other programs I use day-in-day-out.

Of course, this is all personal opinion and if every developer implemented every feature a customer asked for we'd all be playing with bloatware. :)

Regardless, I just thought that I'd put across my $0.02 about FlashFXP.

Keep up the good work.

Bye
