After copying everything from one drive to another (using Partition Magic 8), and swaping the drives (so I have a removable backup), I have to re-enter my registration code into FlashFXP. There were really no changes made to the OS, or the partitions. I basically mirrored one drive to the other.
Partition Magic v8
Windows 98SE

I wont pretend to know exactly what value or check failed after the ghost process, to cause FlashFXP to ask you re-enter your registration information. Lets just say that FlashFXP is written to be very difficult to pirate.
I'm sorry that this adversely effects your ability to backup/restore your system, hassle free.

Well, to be honest, this isn't the only software I've had that's done this to me. As long as I can use the same registration code every time it does this (which I was able to do), it shouldn't be a big problem.
I perfectly understand the reasons of discouraging piracy.
Don't worry about making my backup hassle-free -- there is no such thing ;)

There's no problems using the same reg code again. You paid for it and it's like the serial you get with programs in the box. And I hear ya on the non hassle free backups. :p

Once the registration key has been entered it's limited to the current hard drive. If the hard drive changes you'll be prompted to re-enter your key.
This is done to prevent people from sharing a pre-registered copy of FlashFXP by forcing them to re-enter the key. Unfortunately this was a big problem in previous versions of FlashFXP.
