Two Bugs :(

Is this a bug or feature?

When a remote file is 0 bytes, and to overwrite it with another file (with the same name) that is any size, FlashFXP does not ask me to confirm overwriting. All of my "File Exist Rules" are set to ask before overwriting (Sorry if I'm being a little narrow minded :rolleyes: )

Also, FlashFXP does not seem to automatically use the current local path when adding a remote bookmark, as it used to.

eg.

1. Click the Bookmarks toolbar button in the remote window
2. Click Add to Bookmarks
3. Click the folder button to open the "Browse for Folder" dialogue

At this point, older versions (Build 906) of FlashFXP would automatically use the path of the current local view in the "Browse for Folder" dialogue. Build 909 does not seem to do this (I liked this little feature, and found it quite handy :)).

If the file size is 0 bytes, the file is automatically overwrote regardless of your file exist rules. this is by design.

The behavior of adding a bookmark hasn't changed, I tested using the latest beta and it works correctly. I'm not sure why it's not working for you in build 906. It does work in build 906 for me.

About the automatic current local path thing...
Sorry, maybe I was unclear:

This feature *does* work in build 906.
This feature does *not* work in build 909.

Oops, I posted the wrong version of FlashFXP for my system specs (there needs to be an "Embarrased" emoticon -- if there was, this is where I'd use it). The current version of FlashFXP on my system is Build 909, and this "automatic current local path" feature does not work.

Anyone else having this problem?, it works fine for me in build 909. This code hasn't been touched lately.

For the 2nd bug. My path says E:\Program Files\FlashFXP\ but when i click on the folder button, it starts out at My Computer. If i am reading your Post correctly, it should automatically go to E:\Program Files\FlashFXP\ instead of My Computer???

Oh, and I just noticed that FlashFXP isn't deleting temp files after viewing/editing (:confused: )

do you have that option checked? works fine here, sounds like there might be something wrong with your copy of FlashFXP.

Never mind. If I redownload a file by the same name, it overwrites it anyway.

Is FlashFXP supposed to delete the file directory after viewing/editing, or simply overwrite it when another file by the same name if/when viewed or edited?

qwerty: it's supposed to go to whatever path is currently in the local pane, *not* what you have specified as your default download path in your settings.

The temp files are deleted when you exit FlashFXP. They are downloaded to your temp folder.

and this behavour can be changed of course, including

1) whether to delete or not
2) the path to the temp dir can be anything you like

Yeah, there should be an option if the file is 0 bytes to make it resume, because on FTP servers that cannot overwrite and there are 0 byte files on there; you can't upload the file, because of overwrite disallowed....
