Hi everyone.

I have a problem with getting corrupt files. Files are supposed to be 15,000,000 bytes, but end up being like 14,999,998. This obviously renders the files corrupt when using a SFV checker. This problem is extremely intermittent although I have found that downloading about 50 15,000,000 files leaves approximately 15-20 corrupt.

I have try countless builds of FlashFXP but all have this problem. I have tried out three other ftp clients and this problem does NOT occur. I have tried SmartFTP, BulletProof FTP and FTP Voyager. Unfortunately, right now I am using BulletProof FTP (which is crap) to transfer my files until this problem is solved.

My system specs are as follows.

Windows 2000 Pro SP3 & Windows XP Pro SP1 (I have tried it on both OS's, still the same problem)
Intel Celeron 633mHz Socket 370 CPU
AOpen AX34 Pro Motherboard
1x stick of Samsung 128MB PC-133 SD-RAM running at PC-66
1x 40GB Seagate 7200RPM ATA-66, 1x 20GB Seagate 7200RPM ATA-66
NVidia GeForce4 MX440 64MB SD-RAM w/ TV-Out
Ambient Technologies HaM 56k Internal Modem
Samsung 24x/10x/40x CD-RW Drive
Samsung 16x DVD-ROM Drive

I have configured FlashFXP to download in Binary Mode all the time (not Auto).

The main FTP I download from uses GuildFTPd (latest version).

Any help regarding this matter would be great.

Thanks. ;)

Which specific Version/Build are you using?
Are you a registered user?

I downloaded and setup GuildFTPd on my LAN, I have no problems with corruption when downloading or uploading the files. Perhaps this problem is specific to yours or the ftp servers configuration. Would it be possible to setup a test account on the ftp server so that I can better diagnose the problem. You can contact me directly at support@flashfxp.com

Sounds like a "corrupt" flashfxp.exe. Download the new beta from the site.

Here is bigstar's thread:

Yeah, corrupt or cracked one... make sure that you're using a legit FlashFXP copy.

bigstar,

I am currently using 2.0 build 909b3 but as I said before, I have tried quite a few different builds of FlashFXP but to no avail.

And I am not a registered user. I am still fairly new to FlashFXP and am still evaluating it. I really love FlashFXP, but this problem is really bugging me. Normally, I would simply change FTP clients, but I like FlashFXP so much that I feel it is worth trying to fix.

And about setting up a test account, I would have to get permission from the owner of the main FTP I download from, so I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Thanks.

excuse me, but how can you be using 909b3 when it was released only to registred users? and you just said you are not registred...

MxxCon,

I downoaded the public beta (which I thought was b3) from http://forum.flashfxp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2771

I thought only b4 was restricted to registered users.
